Business Insurance

Every trading business should have proper business insurance.

Things can and do go wrong in all industries and it is impossible to say when disaster might strike, even in the safest jobs.

Having said some companies encounter more risk than others and so it could be argued have a greater responsibility to get cover. So which businesses need to prioritise their business insurance above almost everything else?

Catering.

Insurance claims relating to the food industry are rarely simple and boring. There have been cases of royal events being claimed for after the kitchens set fire and once a whole cruise ship had to be evacuated after the majority of the people on board came down with food poisoning.

Obviously there are many other areas of a catering business that insurance is required for, including making sure there is restaurant insurance to cover everyone and everything inside the eatery.

Beauty.
When your job is to be hands on with clients day in day out, insurance is a must.During their career, it would be a miracle if a therapist did not experience some kind of incident where there was a problem with a clients treatment.

It can be a simple as damaging someone's nails to turning someones skin green by mistake. A well run salon will of course train their staff to the highest standard but also have full beauty insurance just in case.

Travel.
The amount of things that can and do wrong in travel unbelievable. People breaking their arms, going for a swim in the sea with all their money in their wallets, getting heat-stroke.

This list is endless. It is true that a lot of things are covered under personal travel insurance but travel companies have a whole host of other possible incidences to cover themselves against. All it takes is one plane to be delayed sometimes to cause a massive backlash of claims, from people who missed other flights, meetings, pick-ups etc.
